1976 Ford Courier pickup truck
Barb and Bill Brown, Duncansville

Description: “This full custom 1976 Ford Courier pickup is reported to be only one of six produced with a California Stepside conversion. These trucks were delivered new to the dealerships and the Chevrolet Fiberglas fendered stepside bed, tube grille, etc., were added and sold as a California Stepside Conversion. This truck has been in our immediate famliy since it was new. It has only 23,000 original miles. We have all the dealer brochures showing the California Stepside packages available. It was fully customized in the ’80s and used solely as a show truck. We have won more than 25 trophies in four states with this truck including Best of Show and People’s Choice awards. It has the original 1796cc engine with a custom hedder. The truck has been lowered and tons of modifications added. The fat-fendered Chevrolet Stepside bed makes room for the very wide tires on the rear. We have now retired the truck from the shows and regularly frequent cruise-ins and use it for Sunday

drives. It still gets plenty of attention. These Ford Couriers were produced from

1972 until 1982 right before the Ford Ranger was introduced.’’
